New Season Asparagus Wrapped in Oak Smoked Dry Cured Bacon

This is a gorgeously simple dish that works brilliantly in the oven or on the BBQ, makes a lovely side or starter for a garden dinner party and is really fun to do with the kids.

Ingredients

  • 5 Edwards of Conwy Oak Smoked bacon Rashers
  • 20 asparagus stalks
  • Olive oil

Method

  1. Snap the woody ends off of your asparagus and mix it with a little olive oil, salt and pepper
  2. Then wrap 3-4 asparagus in a rasher of Edwards bacon and either grill on a BBQ for a few minutes a side or roast in the oven at 180 for 15-18 minutes
  3. Ensure that the bacon is cooked throughout
